Nabit was previously called HookRef. The current official website is https://nabit.ai; the former website, hookref.com, redirects to nabit.ai.

Public reference pages distinguish recorded source facts, editorial interpretation and suggested adaptations. A reference is not evidence of ad performance or a grant of footage reuse rights. Personalized recommendations, collections and AI Studio image/video generation require a signed-in workspace.

Nabit MCP uses Streamable HTTP at https://nabit.ai/mcp with browser-based OAuth (scope: nabit:recommendations). No API key is required. Basic, Plus, Pro and Studio include MCP and website image/video generation. Generation is website-only; MCP does not expose generation. Website, MCP and /v1 share workspace Credits, roles, budgets and limits. A Credit pack alone does not unlock MCP or /v1. New recommendation batches reserve 8 Credits and settle at 1 Credit per delivered Hook, up to 8. Reading a batch can settle its existing reservation; repeated reads of a settled batch do not charge it again. Basic/Plus have 8 new batches per UTC day; trials 4; Pro/Studio have no daily batch cap, but Credits and rate limits still apply. Uncertain submitted work stays reserved for reconciliation. Product trends use get_trending_videos for an authorized product; the demo heat board is not public.

## Public /v1 API

The /v1 routes use the existing OAuth Bearer access token with current workspace consent (scope: nabit:recommendations). This is an authenticated API, not anonymous access. API-key authentication is not implemented; it is deferred to milestone 4. MCP continues to use OAuth. No /v1 generation, global heat board or tracking-update endpoint is exposed. Route implementation does not imply a production deployment.

GET /v1/recommendations reads the current batch, or a supplied snapshotId, and can settle existing holds. POST /v1/recommendations accepts action ensure (default), or next with the current snapshotId. Poll the returned snapshotId and retry next with the same source snapshotId to avoid advancing twice. GET /v1/trending reads existing tracking for one authorized product; it does not start tracking. Identity, endpoints and operations cannot be supplied by callers. Successful JSON responses use HTTP 200, including queued/running/failed batch states; inspect status. Errors preserve HTTP status, code, error and any credits/rechargeUrl fields. Responses are no-store.
